The index of the German IFO business confidence rose in January to high of 110.3 compared to 109.9 in December. Consensus expectations were for a given change. The voice on the current situation fell from 112.9 to 112.8, compared to consensus expectations for a rise to 113.2, while the voice on the future expectations inaspettatamante has increased from 106.9 to 107.8 (106.5 to consensus). The new rise of the index of business confidence confirmed as the industry could continue to grow at a rapid pace over the coming months, despite the recent strength of the euro, particularly against the dollar, and the debt crisis in the peripheral countries.
